Assessment scales are used in goals while importing goals in the performance reviews.

1. The default Assessment Scales can be set for Goals by going to the Setup Menu -> Goals & Performance Management, under the Goal Management tab and selecting a scale from the Goal Assessment Template dropdown.

2. An assessment scale can also be added while creating a goal type. A specific goal can be assigned to any goal type.

3. However, the evaluation scale maintained at the goal type level will override the scale selected from the Goal Assessment Template.
4. For Example: When importing the goals it will use the default assessment scale or goal-type assessment.
