How to Create a Skill Type?

Skill Type refers to categorizations or classifications of the skills possessed by individuals within an organization. These can include technical skills, soft skills, leadership skills, domain-specific skills, and more.

Skill types are crucial as they guide recruitment, training, and succession planning, ensuring the organization has the right people with the right skills for strategic growth and adaptation in a competitive landscape.

Steps to Create a Skill Type

  1. Go to the “Skills” menu in the navigation bar and click on “Skill Types”.
  1. A comprehensive list of all the skill types created will appear on the screen. Click on the “New Skill Type” button to create a new skill type.
  1. Clicking on the “New Skill Type” button, you will be redirected to the new skill type page where you can fill in the necessary information required to create the new skill type.
  1. Once you have filled in the details, click on the “Save Skill Type” button to save the information.
  1. After saving, you will be redirected to the skill type view page.
  1. On the skill type view page, you can edit the skill type by clicking on this edit icon.
  1. On the skill type view page, you can archive the skill type by clicking on this archive icon.
  1. Clicking “Back to Skill Types” will redirect you to the skill type home page.
  1. On the skill type view page, you can click on the trash icon to delete that particular skill type.
  1. Clicking on the trash icon, a pop-up to confirm deletion will appear. Click on the “Delete Skill Type” button to delete the skill type.
  1. Clicking the “Delete Skill Type” button will permanently delete that skill type and redirect you to the skill type home page.
  1. On the skill type home page, you can click on any skill type to view its details.
