Email Templates and Merge Fields
ClayHR allows you to create email templates that you can send to candidates, users, etc. Follow the following steps to set email templates:
- Go to the top right "Setup" Menu.
- Scroll down and click on the "Forms, Workflows & Templates" link.
- Open the templates from the left panel.
- Click on the “Message Templates” link.
- Click on the “New Template”.
- Design your template and save it.
To use merge fields, use the following commands:
- Name: {{name}}
- Assigned By (The person’s name who assign the form): {{assignedBy}}
- Form name: {{formName}}
- Form Description: {{formDescription}}
- Company Name: {{companyName}}
- Sender’s Name: {{senderName}}
- User’s Position: {{userPosition}}
- Start Date: {{startDate}}
- End Date: {{endDate}}
- User’s Department: {{userDepartment}}
- Redirect link (A link will be added based on the module) = {{here}}
For sending an email to the candidate, here are the 3 relevant fields:
- Name: {{name}}
- Company Name: {{companyName}}
- Sender’s Name: {{senderName}} [This is the name of the person who triggers the “send email” action]
